A Timeline of Workers Compensation in Wyoming

Pressure to reform the workers' compensation system in Wyoming is mounting from workers' groups and labor unions.

Proponents want state lawmakers to increase benefits available to injured workers.

As part of its coverage of the issue, the Casper Star-Tribune has published a timeline detailing the evolution of workers' comp in the state, dating from 1915 when Wyoming passed the Workmen's Compensation Law.

It's an interesting look at how the current workers' compensation system came to be and changes that have been implemented along the way, some favorable to workers, others to employers.
